"Then I heard the word 'maggot' and that kind of got everybody creeped out," she said. "All of a sudden, I felt somebody flick the back of my hair and on the front of me came a maggot, which I flicked off me.

maybe they forgot about it? i have friends who will seriously leave half finished hamburgers in the garbage in their car until they rot. It's not too much of a stretch for some poeple to decide to bring their leftovers with them, and think they'll survive a week without refrigeration.
