For me, I enjoyed "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" (the PS1 version of UMK3 with tweaks) and MK1.

I've played those two games with the entire roster of characters, but Scorpion is always my favorite. I use Scorpion predominantly in the other MK games, too.

I have always been a Sub-Zero player.

I always enjoyed MK: Deadly Alliance more than any other, mainly for a new combo system.

I wish MK and SF were set up more like Tekken or Soul Calibur. Each character deserves a completely separate moves list IMO.

Agreed. Then you can really appreciate the skills of someone who has mastered multiple characters and such.

MK and FS have just 2 styles:

In MK you had "hold/release" characters and regular directional ones.

In SF you have "charge" and non-charge characters.

I picked up MK vs DC Universe for the PS3 today. Nothing like some mindless fighting game time with a few people.
