I stumbled across my emulators yesterday and opened up the DS version of the game. I wasn't overly impressed...

Nothing earth shattering like that, considering what a huge leap SMW was from SMB.

NSMB Wii has the same/similar graphics to the NSMB DS game but made more enjoyable because they're on your TV.

Mario's play control is a little slippery, which makes precision landings annoying, and the lack of anything like a Raccoon Tail or Cape eliminates some of the fun that can be had. But it's still a great 2D mario game. Just a touch more new-school than old-school.

After a couple hours of reading... I decided to do a soft-mod on my Wii. I had a spare SD card laying around that I loaded a bunch of tools onto. All said, it took about 20 minutes to complete.... This morning, I downloaded a torrent of this game...

I. LOVE. IT!!!

And it was free, which is always a bonus.

Ok... played for a few hours. I did the 99 lives trick with the Koopa on the stairs, although I don't think I needed to. I'm just getting to 3-1. I have ALL the star coins except ONE that I can't find on 2-2.

This game is totally worth the $0 I payed for it. Honestly though, it's worth $50. If I hadn't modded my Wii, I'd probably buy it.

I've completed Worlds 1 through 3. Currently at the start of world 4, but I also have access to World 5 from the warp cannon i unlocked in World 1.

I have ALL the star coins except ONE that I can't find on 2-2.

This was the only time so far that I've had to look something up. DAMN.

Currently halfway through world 5. I have ALL star coins, all levels, all secret goals, and canons so far. WOOT! This game made the purchase of my Wii TOTALLY worth it!

Interestingly, they have been having more fun playing the Rapela fishing game that came free with it.

yessss its pretty awesome, i gamed the demo in wal-mart & it was awesome!!!

and the turning the controller its not bad at all to game on, i want a wii..:drool:

I think I'm still in World 4 with World 5 unlocked (via cannon). I should finish the game.
