Fuck I was expecting to see Avatar: The Last Airbender (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0938283/). But this looks pretty kickass. It's absolutely thrilling how the CGI is so realistic compared to a few years ago.

I totally agree. The graphics in movies like Jurassic Park were awesome at the time, but looks fakey now.

I heard about the general premise and I am very happy with it.

Black Text for anyone who wants to know:

There's a planet humans need to visit and learn more about the alien locals, but we cannot physically visit because humans cannot breathe and survive the conditions there. So we figured out how to grow "blank" versions of the alien locals and download a human mind into the alien blank, making it an "avatar". Then you can go down and explore/interact on the planet, while your human body lays mindless somewhere on the ship.

The main character is a handicapped human, so his delight at being able to have full use of the limbs of his avatar is going to be one of those side story things.

Kind of Matrix-like.


This is going to be one I check out the day it arrives in theaters.

After reading about it online, I can't wait to see the movie. It's a great premise.
