So tonight I had the bright idea to hook a computer upto a 42inch tv. But, i thought that I should test it out with my laptop first just to see if it would work before I go and move he computer and everything to the tv.
After I hooked my laptop up to the tv, I was playing with the audio on my computer and I broke something. I think i disabled the speakers. Now my speakers are not working and I dont know how to fix them.
Any idea's? Need anymore info?
are you plugged into the right port on the back of the computer?

yes.... i also plugged in the audio cord... i plugged two cords into the tv....
but i was messing with some audio settings on my computer, and now my audio doesnt work at all.
Do you still have the speaker icon on your system tray (bottom right, next to the clock)? Is there an "X" on it?

i do have it and there isnt an x.... i remember from before there were two audio devices when you went to properties... and now there is only one. I dont remember what the other one was called.
I went to the hp website and downloaded all of the audio drivers for this computer. but that doesnt seem to be doing anything for it.
and you're sure the volume is turned up? Like, if you DOUBLE click the speaker icon, it should bring up a bunch of audio controls. Make sure they're up.
Also.... just gotta make sure, are the speakers turned on/plugged in to POWER?
